So about a week, and 300 miles ago my 328i Xserve got the trifecta. ABS, Traction control, and “4x4” systems out.
Today I was going through a round about, and downshifted a bit to aggressively(read as poorly). Suddenly the DTC light flashed, than all the warning lights went off and now everything works again. Weird.

it’s a BMW, of course it fixed itself when it realised it was being driven poorly.

Sounds like you have a loose electrical connection somewhere.

I think your bmw had a temper tantrum and when you ignored it, it realized you wouldn’t do anything about it so it begrudgingly moved on
Like a child/teenager

Car fixing itself is the best feeling...until it comes back

Definitely Scan the car for codes, in my experience these things start failing slowly and you’ll see this go on and off more often until it fails all together.

Nearly 7 months later it’s still going strong!

I finally did just that and it said there was a problem with the air gap/alignment of one of the front wheel speed sensors.
